1. Lucky Spoon

Right down the road from the venue. A great place to get a snack.
Once the manager approves, the employees will be the keeper of the egg. They will require anyone to take a taste of frozen yogurt before they can see the clue inside.

2. Keller Fountain – the bench behind the waterfall

There is a bench behind the waterfall on the right – and it is accessible on foot.

Since there is a likelihood of someone outside the UR taking an easter egg just sitting on the bench, after leaving, the user will see this alcove:

That’s where the egg will be hidden.

3. 1121 SW Third Ave (Chapman Square) – Mama’s Baby Doll

IMG_1030
1121 isn’t really an address. But across the street is the Justice Center at 1120 Third Avenue.
1121 is the nominal address of Chapman Square. Standing from the justice center, this is what you see:

Going into that park, you can see this statue in the center:

Coming around, you see the mama is indeed clutching a baby doll, and makes a perfect place to hide an easter egg from the public.

This is accessible on foot, and only requires stepping up onto the pedestal (2 feet).

4. Broadway and Morrison  – in the Portland Mercury Box

IMG_1064
This is a safe spot that I used during my guerilla treasure hunt last year. The sticker is still inside, even though it’s been a year. THAT was a real kick to find!

5. Multnomah County Library – is the $100 Startup checked out?

Why, yes. Yes it is.

First, go up these stairs.

Then, go in this room.

Then, go way down this room. (Isn’t this a pretty library? Wow, I didn’t realize Portland had such a great library.)

IMG_1075

Back here is where the card catalogs say it’s supposed to be.

IMG_1073

This is the aisle!

IMG_1071

Way down at the end. Nice secluded corner.

Bottom shelf – his book is supposed to be here, but they are all checked out! Good thing we found an easter egg behind the books, all quiet back here by ourselves.

6. 4th and Washington – on top of the staircase

This is what you see from the corner.

IMG_1046
The building is for lease. There are no tenants.
Climbing the staircase gets you here:

And right there at the top, is a perfect little platform for an easter egg.

7. 2nd and Morrison – the Ultimate Destination (in Nordstrom Rack)

This was too good to pass up.

I’ve got a phone appointment with the store manager tomorrow to discuss if I can leave the final egg in their store. I’d prefer a restaurant or a bar, or somewhere with wifi and drinks, so adventurers can sit and tipple to celebrate the end of this leg, and count up all their points.

Do you have a relationship with a restaurant or bar owner downtown? If so, I’d like to slot them in at the end.

If any of these spots are not workable for any reason, we can cut it. So long as we have a minimum of 4, I think we’re good to go.
